Archiving the Present bring you Náhuat Saturday School.

A family friendly introduction workshop series to the Náhuat of El Salvador and Central America from a cosmovision and Indigenous spirituality perspective, as lead by knowledge holder Franco Huixtemi. You will be provided with an e-resource for the workshop and for continued learning.

Franco Huixtemi, originally from Teotepeque, La Libertad El Salvador, studied anthropology at the University of El Salvador (UES) Disseminator of the Náhua culture of El Salvador Tamachtiani [teacher] of the language of his ancestors, Náhuat, the last living language Indigenous people of El Salvador with less than 200 native grandparents of the language. Since 2010 he has been dedicated to teaching the Indigenous language and participated in the project to revitalise the Náhuat language and culture for the Ministry of Education in 2017 as the author of three of the six books that are in different downtown schools and in western El Salvador. Franco is an active participant in the indigenous communities of the department of Sonsonate.
