Hát Xe Buýt (Singing Bus)
Tania Cañas, Hoàng Trần Nguyễn, Lana NguyễnHát Xe Buýt (Singing Bus) (2022) was a curated bus ride as part of Neighbourhood Contemporary Arts Festival that took guests between the House of Mother Tongue, House of Other Tongue exhibitions at Footscray Community Arts and West Space, Collingwood. Each ride was hosted by artists, poets and community leaders who explore the role of language and place in the contemporary colonial context.

This particular site-specific socially engaged performance played on the framework of ‘tour guide’ to critique heritage regimes, gentrification and mobility privilege with the audience travelling on a bus to a site of a now destroyed Salvadoran community mural.
