Archiving the Present presented 'Embodied Archiving: Migrant Hostel' a series of site responsive works (September 2023)
Seven interdiciplinary artists developed creative site responsive works that draws from their lived, intergenerational and contextual experinces at the former Springvale Migrant Hostel. Artists drew from their experinece and relationship to the site, now a retirement village.
As part of the project: artists, family, friends and community along with current residentes were invited to gather at teh site, walk through teh space, eat together, connect and share stories with one another.
There was a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.

Final works were presented at Bunjil Place.
