Ernesto Tomás VaqueroAcrylic paint work that draws from his mother’s memory of community gatherings at the church. There was a bus that went from the former Springvale Migrant Hostel to the local Spanish speaking church. Draws inspiration from liberation theology that came out of El Salvador during the Civil War.
Ernesto Tomás Vaquero is an artist from the south east of Melbourne. His parents are from El Salvadoran and Peruvian backgrounds.
His solo exhibition ‘Alma de un chico’ introduces the concept (Unconscious Art) around the same time in the 2022 Guto Ajayu Culture Art Anthology Madrid edition book he explains the method and idea around Unconscious Art.
